Folly Beach Parking Guide

Planning a visit to Folly Beach? Understanding the local parking rules before you arrive can help make your beach day smooth and stress-free. Folly Beach offers a combination of free street parking, paid parking areas, and designated public lots near Center Street and popular beach access points.
Most residential street parking is free unless otherwise posted, but vehicles must be parked in marked or legal spaces, fully off the roadway, and facing the direction of traffic. Parking in prohibited areas such as private driveways, crosswalks, intersections, or dunes can result in fines or towing.
The Town of Folly Beach actively enforces all parking regulations year-round, especially during peak season, so reviewing current signage and local guidelines is essential. With proper planning, finding convenient and legal parking at Folly Beach is easy — allowing you to focus on enjoying the sand, surf, and coastal charm.
