These are some the best Isle of Palms, SC restaurants you will want to try during your visit. The Boathouse at Breach Inlet with its terrific views of Breach Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. Also, Coconut Joe’s offers excellent views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean.

Another local favorite it the Acme Lowcountry Kitchen located just a block off the Front Beach. Islander 71 Fish House and Deck Bar is located at the end of 41st Street and has a great view of the Intracoastal Waterway, Morgan Creek, and the IOP Marina. Islander 71 is sometimes referred to as the IOP Marina restaurant. Also, Coda Del Pesce offers beachfront Italian dining.

Another long time favorite among locals and vacationers is Long Island Café located in The Island Center.
For breakfast try the Sea Biscuit Café. The Sea Biscuit is an Island tradition that is open for breakfast and lunch only.

Bars on Isle of Palms

The World Famous Windjammer is just a short walk away from any of the Front Beach restaurants. During the Summer, and throughout the year, there is something going on at The Windjammer. There is live music on the indoor and outdoor concert stages. Check there website for upcoming concert dates and times. Also, the Windjammer features beach volleyball courts. The Windjammer is open year round.
Most restaurants on the Isle of Palms offer a small bar where you can enjoy a drink before or after dinner. The Windjammer is the only large bar on the Island.
Wild Dunes Restaurants
Wild Dunes Restaurants offer a wide variety of dining options to chose from inside the resort. Coastal Provisions is located at the Boardwalk Inn. Hudson’s Market & Café offers wraps and sandwiches. Hudson’s Market also offers shopping for coffee, wine, beer, and other vacation essentials. Coastal Crust has wood fired specialty pizzas and more.
Hudson’s Market and Coastal Crust are both located in the Sweetgrass Plaza. Beachside Burgers and Bar is located at the Grand Pavilion. These are just some of the restaurants located in Wild Dunes.
Shem Creek Dining – Mt Pleasant Dining
The world-famous restaurant destination, Shem Creek, with its many excellent restaurants, is just about ten minutes from the IOP. Red’s Ice House, Water’s Edge, Tavern and Table, and Saltwater Cowboys all offer waterfront dining and great views.

It is not uncommon to see porpoises, pelicans, and other wildlife while dining on Shem Creek. You can also see shrimp, crabbing, and fishing boats coming in with their catch of the day.
Mt. Pleasant is a large city and offers a wide variety of dining options. Try Melvin’s BBQ for lunch or dinner. The Cheeseburger at Melvin’s is the favorite of Chef Emeril Lagasse. Another local favorite close to the Island is Mainland Container Company.
Other restaurants serving Mexican, Italian, Chinese cuisine, and more can be easily found in Mt. Pleasant.
Sullivan’s Island Restaurants
Sullivan’s Island, just across Breach Inlet from IOP, is home to many great restaurants. These restaurants are all within a couple of blocks of one another. Poe’s Tavern is a favorite spot for locals and vacationers alike. Poe’s décor is inspired by the author, Edgar Allen Poe, who was once stationed at Ft. Moultrie. BBQ can be found at Home Team BBQ and Mex1 Coastal Cantina offers traditional Mexican fare. For a deli sandwich and a beer try The CO-OP. The Obstinate Daughter offers traditional American cuisine and craft beer.
